CASA of the Coastal Bend is pleased to welcome Clarissa Mora as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mora officially began her role this week, bringing extensive experience in child advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and community-based service.
Mora previously served as Executive Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Coastal Bend, where she led organizational operations, financial management, and program development. Over the course of her career, she advanced through roles including
Family Advocate, Program Director, and Interim Executive Director—building a deep, firsthand understanding of the systems that support children and families.
“Clarissa is a thoughtful and capable leader who understands the importance of this work and the children we serve,” said Ralph Silva, Board President of CASA of the Coastal Bend. “We are confident in her leadership and her commitment to ensuring children navigating the courts in Nueces and Aransas counties continue to have a strong voice.”
Mora has extensive experience working within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with courts, law enforcement, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and community partners to ensure coordinated, trauma-informed care. She has overseen a $2 million+ operating budget and managed local, state, and federal grant programs, with a focus on accountability and long-term sustainability.
“What has always stayed with me in this work is how much it matters for children and families to have someone walking alongside them during a difficult time,” said Mora. “I’m honored to join CASA of the Coastal Bend and look forward to working with our staff, volunteers, and partners to continue the important work of serving vulnerable children in our community.”
As the organization enters this next chapter, CASA of the Coastal Bend also recognizes the leadership of outgoing CEO Page Hall, who is retiring after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. Her longstanding commitment has helped shape CASA’s work and impact across the Coastal Bend community.
CASA of the Coastal Bend trains and supports volunteers who advocate for children in foster care, ensuring each child has a voice in the court system and the opportunity to thrive in a safe, permanent home.
