What Do I Stand For?

I stand for HOPE because when all else fails my CASA children, I continue to offer hope and look for ways to meet their needs. I don’t give up. I have the time and the energy to continue to pursue avenues for positive permanency for each child.

I stand for WISDOM. I keep looking for ways to address issues affecting the wellbeing of each child. I cannot see into the future so I pray over every recommendation I make, and I seek guidance and feedback from many others who I feel can help affect positive permanency for each child.

I stand for DEPENDABILIY. My experience as a CASA has made me very aware that every CASA child has a much better chance of a positive outcome because they can depend on their CASA to fight for them, to care for them, and to be there through all aspects of their time away from home. I was taught to never give up, no matter the difficulties; and each child needs to know that is what can be expected from his or her CASA.
