What Do I Stand For?
I stand for HONESTY because it’s important to be honest with yourself as well with others. I try to be honest with myself about helping children and families, and to remember it’s not about me—-it’s about finding the best possible outcome for children in crisis situations.
I stand for PERSISTENCE. I explore every way I can think of to bring about a satisfactory solution to problems in each case. I do not give up on anyone and try my best to achieve permanence for each child.
I stand for DEPENDABILITY. I am a dependable person and usually am able to do what I say I will do. I believe that each child who witnesses a dependable CASA dedicated to his or her best interests – throughout their time of separation from their family – is much more likely to be a responsible adult someday. Actions do speak louder than words.
