Title: Fund Development Manager
Classification: Full Time Exempt
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
The Development Manager (DM) plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) by leveraging strong communication skills and strategic development expertise to cultivate sustainable funding. This position collaborates closely with the CEO and other leadership staff to coordinate key fundraising initiatives, including the Annual Giving Campaign, CASA Superhero 5K, Day of Giving and other fundraisers adopted by the CASA Board of Directors.
In alignment with CASA’s Three-Year Strategic Plan, the DM is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting capital and planned gifts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about CASA’s mission, uphold organizational policies and procedures, and serve as a dynamic ambassador within the community.
Fundraising & Donor Relations
· Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, individuals, foundations, and corporations.
· Handle donor communications, acknowledgments, and ensure they feel appreciated and engaged.
· Keep donor records accurate and secure using the donor database Bloomarang.
· Help plan and run fundraising events and donor recognition activities already in place.
· Seek sponsorship and act as CASA’s representative at external fundraising events.
· Set performance goals, track progress and provide a monthly report to improve CASA’s fundraising program.
· Train and support Board members and volunteers to be effective fundraisers.
· Develop creative and diverse fundraising strategies to meet financial goals.
· Represent the organization in public forums, coalitions, and policy discussions, build strategic partnerships with community leaders, government agencies, and other nonprofits
Digital Content Management – Fundraising
· Maintain and update the organization’s fundraising and donor recognition on the CASA website using WordPress, ensuring content is current, accessible, and aligned with CASA’s mission.
· Develop and schedule engaging content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to promote fundraising events.
· Design compelling graphics for social media, email campaigns, flyers, and event materials using the database as well as Canva and Photoshop.
· Create promotional materials for fundraisers, the CASA Superhero 5K, Annual Campaign and Day of Giving and any other fundraisers adopted by the CASA Board of Directors.
· Capture photos and videos at events for use in future promotions.
· Create recap posts and highlight reels to showcase community engagement.
Experience
· Comfortable managing multiple projects and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
· Strong team player with collaborative spirit
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including: Drafting compelling stories, proposals, and press releases. Delivering presentations to varied audiences
· Exceptionally organized and self-motivated problem solver.
· Train and support Board members and volunteers to be effective fundraisers.
· Charismatic and confident, with high emotional intelligence and interpersonal finesse.
· Resilient under pressure, maintaining professionalism and humor
· Diplomatic and persistent in motivating volunteers to achieve fundraising goals.
· Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
· Certified Fund-Raising Executive.
· Knowledge of the philanthropic community in the Corpus Christi area.
· Mathematical skills necessary for preparing budgets, analyzing financial reports, projecting revenues and expenses and reviewing grant reports.
· Experience working with Board committees and volunteers.
This is a Full Time Exempt position requiring flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed for meetings, events, or projects. Benefits are provided as follows: health insurance, retirement at 3 years vested, paid holidays and paid leave.
